Our Program Chairman, Jonathan Bush has a fantastic lineup of speakers this month. First, Richard Spears is to speak at our luncheon on Thursday, April 7th on “2011 Drilling Forecast: And its effect on drilling and completion costs”. Then Ford Brett is to speak on Thursday, April 21st for Student Night at the University of Tulsa at 6:30 pm. His topic is “BP Macondo – One Year Later”. Seating will be limited. It will be on a first come-first serve basis so get your reservations in early.
The SPE Mid-Continent Section elections are upon us for the 2011-2012 year. Erik Block, our Nominations Chairman is taking nominations for Officer and Board positions to put on this year’s ballot. Our Section is planning a “BBQ at the Park” for Saturday, May 14th as an Appreciation Event for our members. It is offered to our members and their immediate family at no cost. For this event to be a success, we need to get an accurate head count early for planning purposes.
